A fair comparison woud be with the d500. use the comparison tool of nikon and it is much closer to the d500 then to the d5600. same sensor and it overkills the d500 in speed. what is for me a major reason why i have the d500. of course we have to wait for longer z leners like a 120-500mm but the ftz adapter is a good intermediant option.
